When Life gives you lemonade, make lemons. Life would be all like, “Whaat??”

My Practice Philosophy

I believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. Mental health is deeply intertwined with various aspects of life, from emotions to physical health, and every individual’s journey is unique. My approach integrates both traditional and holistic treatment methods to support lasting change. I am committed to fostering a safe, empathetic, and empowering environment where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as we work together to improve your mental well-being.

Diagnoses/Conditions I Treat

I specialize in treating a wide range of mental health conditions and life challenges, including:

  • Chronic feelings of sadness or hopelessness that interfere with daily functioning. This includes major depressive disorder, dysthymia, and situational depression.

  •  Overwhelming feelings of fear or nervousness, including generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety, panic disorder, and specific phobias.

  •  Difficulty maintaining attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. I use the QB Check, an FDA-approved online ADHD test, to help evaluate for ADHD and guide treatment.
FYI: Stimulants (e.g., Adderall, Ritalin), are made on a case-by-case basis and as part of a comprehensive treatment plan and in compliance with federal regulations, including the Ryan Haight Act.

  • Major life changes, such as career shifts, moving to a new city (I’ve done this several times!), relationship changes, or personal growth, which can lead to stress, anxiety, and depression.

  • Emotional responses to past traumatic events, including post-traumatic stress disorder, that affect a person’s mental and emotional health.

  • Emotional pain following the death of a loved one, breakup, or other significant losses, which can lead to depression and anxiety.

  • I help individuals struggling with binge eating disorder by addressing emotional triggers and fostering healthier relationships with food. Through therapy and mindful eating strategies, I support sustainable behavior change and can recommend appropriate treatment programs.

  • Mental exhaustion and emotional depletion resulting from ongoing stress, often in response to high work demands or personal struggles.

  • De-prescribing is the careful process of reducing or stopping medications that are no longer necessary or effective. I work with patients to evaluate their current medications, discuss potential risks and benefits, and create a safe tapering plan when appropriate, especially for those managing polypharmacy or aiming to reduce medication reliance.

Treatment Modalities I Offer

I offer a comprehensive and integrative approach to treatment, utilizing a variety of modalities to help you achieve lasting mental health improvement:

Psychopharmacology (Medication Management)
I carefully evaluate your mental health needs to prescribe and manage medications that can help alleviate symptoms, when appropriate. This includes medications for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and more.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
A therapeutic approach focused on changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that contribute to mental health issues like anxiety and depression.

Solution-Focused Therapy
This short-term approach emphasizes finding solutions to current problems and setting realistic goals to move forward in life.

Mindfulness and Stress Reduction Techniques
Mindfulness practices help individuals manage stress, improve focus, and regulate emotions. Techniques such as meditation, breathing exercises, and body awareness are incorporated into treatment.

Motivational Interviewing
This client-centered approach enhances motivation to change by helping individuals explore and resolve ambivalence about behavior change, especially in relation to substance use and other behavioral issues.

Supportive Therapy
A compassionate, non-judgmental approach to provide emotional support, encouragement, and guidance during difficult times.

How to Schedule an Appointment:

I don’t know about you, but it can be frustrating to make appointments with healthcare providers. As a millennial, sometimes I just want a way to schedule online and be done with it. That’s why I offer two ways to get started:

  • If you're ready to begin treatment, you can click the link on my website to "Request an Initial Psychiatric Evaluation." You’ll have the option to book a:

90-minute intake ($425) – Recommended for those who have never seen a psychiatric provider, have an extensive psychiatric history, or want more education.

60-minute intake ($345) – A great option for those with a straightforward history or returning to care.

You’ll fill out a short screening form to help me understand how I can help. Once I review and accept your request, your appointment will be confirmed, and you’ll automatically receive intake forms and consent documents. Just complete them at least 24 hours before your appointment, and we’re good to go! Email reminders with video links will be sent leading up to the session.

  • If you're on the fence or want to learn more about me and my practice, you can fill out the Contact Form to request a 15-minute consultation. We’ll chat about your concerns and see if we’re a good fit. If we decide to move forward, I’ll schedule your intake appointment and send over the necessary forms.

  • 50-Minute Follow-Up ($315) Medication Management with Extended Psychotherapy/Education.
This session focuses on medication management, offering additional time for extended psychotherapy and/or education.

25-Minute Follow-Up ($220) Medication Management. A shorter session designed for medication check-ins and adjustments.

  • I use Alma to accept insurance, which means you’ll have a few additional forms to complete before your first appointment so your benefits can be verified. You’ll also be enrolled in autopay through Alma for billing.
